History of FAAC

The Fremantle Amateur Angling Club is a BEACH, ROCK and ESTUARY recreational fishing club with a proud history.

The Club was originally formed in Western Australia on the 28th of July, 1958 by a dedicated group of sixteen amateur fishermen. Over the past 60 plus years the culture of the Club has developed as a friendly group of people who enjoy fishing and the opportunity to fish in a variety of locations while being prepared to both share their knowledge and experience and to learn from others. The Club continues to cater for competitive & noncompetitive anglers alike and has always included families being men, women & children whose diverse lifestyles all encompass a common interest in fishing. Over the years the Club has been the State Champion Club five times and has in addition, boasted many champion fisher people amongst its membership.
